Our stack caps are all made of 18 gauge galvanized or 304 stainless steel depending on temperatures or the corrosiveness of the gases or environment. What We Offer
Bird Cones
(aka Stack Caps)
These essential pieces of process equipment are designed to prevent birds and debris from entering your vertical flow stacks. Stack caps, also known as bird cones, are typically conical in shape and made from perforated galvanized or stainless steel. The conical shape gives more open surface area than the opening of the pipe so as to not restrict air flow. With a slip on design and a stainless steel worm gear clamp, installation is simple. Tools required for installation – A screwdriver or 5/16′ socket.
We offer a wide range of standard sizes from 2-inch diameter to 30-inch diameter. We have also built up to 7-foot diameter. Our inventory is well-stocked to ensure we can fulfill your immediate needs. However, we understand that some operations have unique requirements. That’s why we excel at custom fabrication. with our extensive material stock and efficient turnaround times, we can design and build bird cones to your exact specifications, regardless of size or shape.
Witches Hats
(aka Startup Strainers)
These internal pipe protectors serve a vital purpose during the initial stages of well operations. Also known as witches hats due to their conical shape, startup strainers are installed within the flow path to prevent debris like welding slag, nuts, bolts, or other foreign objects from entering the system during the startup phase. This helps safeguard downstream equipment from potential damage and ensures smooth operation.
Similar to bird cones, we offer a variety of standard sizes for startup strainers to match your specific pipe diameters. Additionally, we can custom fabricate strainers to meet your unique needs, ensuring a perfect fit for your piping configuration.
